I have been using Firefox now for several years without any problems at all; however, it crashed a few days ago and since then I have receives a "Crash Report" splash screen every time I try to use the program. I have made a .JPG of the message, if that is necessary. When I click on the "Restart Firefox" button on the splash screen it just recycles and displays the same splash screen -- no matter what I try, Firefox will not initiate.

This crash happened while I was using v3.6.3, and I have subsequently uninstalled that version and installed v3.6.8 in an attempt to get the program to work again; however I am still getting the same "Crash Report". Firefox still will not work.

I have another computer in the house and Firefox continues to work just fine on that machine, so I conclude that the problem is specific to the first machine.

After I uninstalled Firefox I also ran "CCleaner" and "Wise Registry Cleaner" as well as "Wise Disk Cleaner" in an attempt to remove all files related to firefox. I have also cleaned the "Recycle bin". However none of that has made any difference; Firefox still will not initiate and still displays the same "Crash Report" screen.

This problem has also affected my "Thunderbird" (v3.1.1) application - I can no longer access my e-mail through Thunderbird. Thunderbird displays the same "Crash Report".

Is there a hidden file (something not effected by the uninstall program or cleaning programs I have used) that I need to change, modify, or delete somewhere in my system in order to get Firefox and Thunderbird to work again on this computer?
