I have firefox 3.6.6 but under updates I am told 3.6.6 is available. When I try to download, it always comes back saying it didn't work (tried 5 times!) ...What exactly do I need to do to get rid of this "update"?!

Not sure why I am constantly being reminded to update to 3.6.6 when I already have it. - I am sure that is the reason it will not download successfully. I just don't know what to do.

Indications are that you have Firefox 3.6.3. Your user agent shown above:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 ~~red:Firefox/3.6.3~~ GTB7.1

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

Did you update by clicking Help > Check for Updates? Note that you must restart Firefox for the update to be applied.

You can also check your version and user agent by clicking Help > About Mozilla Firefox.
