Waiting for Static.ak.connect.facebook for some web sites

Hello, like some others peoples, I recently get troubles with some web sites who don't want to be load and I waiting indefinitly for the URL static.ak.connect.facebook. I never used Facebook on my life.... so What's wrong ?? I have a Macbook Pro with MAC OX 10.6 and I use the most recently version of Firefox. I found a "solution" which is to deactivate the javascript in the Option menu. Something more professionnal or elegant ?

Hi there, Some websites have facebook widgets, which can cause facebook to load into that specific page. If you want to give an example url for me to look at, feel free to. -Taddle

I have same problem.....for example edmunds.com I wait and wait while the status bar says waiting for static.ak.connect.facebook.com. I do not get this with IE.

You should get rid of the WOT (Web-of-Trust) malware, and Firefox will stop calling home to facebook upon startup.
