When I log on to web sites Firefox will not remember my e mail and password even though I click on the remember box when it appears

Every time Firefox opened

Do you see the saved names and passwords in the Password Manager? Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Or doesn't anything happen if you click the Remember button?
