How do I disable drag-and-drop address pasting to anywhere but the address bar?

Firefox 3.5/6 versions have a feature called tear-off tabs. You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window. You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

"when I accidentally drag-and-drop a bit of text anywhere in the window, FF interprets it as address pasting and immediately attempts to execute it as an address.

Can I diable address pasting completely?

This is also true of FF 3.0.19 and I would add that the drop must occur outside of a normal text box

This is also a PROBLEM for VERSION 3.6.3 for Ubuntu Canonical the trojan always tries to open literal http://www.xn followed by a dozen variations and literal .com

Seriously distracting, AND destructive of the users current progress in the window. Dang annoying if nothing else."
