Do you have any VPN or security software (like AVG or Norton) that you could try temporarily disabling?

Just disabled McAfee, tried to reconnect ., still no connection

Would changing any of these settings: Configure DNS over HTTPS protection levels in Firefox help? If it's ON, try changing the providers or turning OFF, if it's not enabled at all try enabling it etc. — it might just change the resolving route enough to get some results.

If you can, please also attach how the "cannot connect to internet" looks like, e.g. as an image here under the reply — is it a Firefox error page with some specific wording? Does it include any error code, or "advanced" sections that can be expanded with more info?
