After i closed firefox and reopened it; most of my tabs and tab groups disappeard.

The tabs and groups do not show up in the History or the Recent tab groups areas. The recently closed windows button is grayed out. and the recovery files from; sessionstore-backups do not contain the tabs. How do i get them back?
