When I updated to the latest version 149.0, all my history disappeared?

I updated my Firefox so when I went to start it again, all history had disappeared even though I was logged into my account. I've been using Firefox since it came out.

Do you mean that you hadn't used Firefox for a while and now want to start again and retrieve the history and possibly other data from Sync?

There are limits for what history is saved in Sync, Synced history expires in 60 days and new history is uploaded only for the last 30 days. Sync in not meant to be used as a backup, best is always to backup valuable important data locally.

Had been using firefox for 2 minutes before I ran the update then where was all the history gone? It was a year ago the history saved showed up something grey in 2025 what you see in the picture?

I made a backup on the computer history but it wouldn't restore it, maybe it got corrupted. It's possible to get it back but the 30 days were a little helpful but they didn't work either. Computers are like nagging grandmothers sometimes. Thanks for the help
