When in dark mode, forwarded emails: • Are not in dark mode notwithstanding that new emails are. • Bear no resemblance to the email being forwarded whatsoever, with boxes all over and colors completely different not only from those in the email being forwarded, but also from those specified for emails being sent. • Resist configuration of body text, so that not only is the background white instead of black, text remains white or a very pale yellow but illegible in any event.

• Forwards also are formatted inconsistently with replies, which is especially odd. Replies observe the client's color configuration and include signatures, albeit in odd places, while forwards contain no signature anywhere and contain a large number of elements, chiefly boxes, colored inconsistently with both dark and light modes. No means exists in Settings to configure either colors (specifically, generally, or to conform with the client's color mode configuration) or signatures for forwards.

Color settings are in Thunderbird settings > Composition.

This is the third post in which you have mentioned signatures in forwarded messages. See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1553354
