Nord VPN and Thunderbird

Rick replied
BILLCQ

I just installed NORD VPN, and I can no longer send any emails in Thunderbird. Receiving is just fine. Gmail works fine. The addresses in Thunderbird are all Spectrum charter.net addresses. I have spent over 5 hours trying to get his working, seeking help from every possible source that I could think of. The spectrum addresses can send and receive just fine when logging into spectrum. This is probably a pretty common association, that is Nord VPN and Thunderbird. And with the big black Friday sales there should be plenty more people with the same situation. If you can give me any ideas about a solution, I would be most grateful. Thank you Bill Lowe

Thanks for the Mozilla Support response. Unfortunately, I have already read those posts and tried everything suggested several times.

The error message that the VPN displays appears to say that the IP address of the VPN server is blocked by the email server. In this case it is Spectrum. They Spectrum says there is no problem, since the email works just fine when not using Thunderbird. I have already wasted way too much time with this problem. I can't believe that I am the only one with this problem. There must be thousands of users with NORD and Spectrum that are having the same problem. There should be some common solution.

Does Nord VPN have options for obfuscation?

Edit: I don't know if obfuscation would help in this situation.
