Meta states that Firefox is one of the browsers working best with Facebook.

Thank you but..... The last time that I tried to use messenger on FB while on firefox, when I clicked on the messenger icon, a note came up that said I must use a different browser. And the call icon and the video icon were dead. FB itself still works fine with firefox. This is important to me because Meta has stated that messenger directly on a browser will be gone as of December 15, 2025.

Currently, encrypted calls are indeed not supported in Firefox. This issue is tracked under bug 1896361. You can follow it to get updates.

Regarding the sunset, it should affect the desktop apps only.
