embedded youtube videos do not play

I cannot play embedded Youtube videos, but they work when I open them in Youtube.

When embedded, after starting the video, I only see the circle animation (loading), but the video never starts.

What I tried so far: 1. turning off hardware acceleration 2. private window 3. troubleshoot mode

The issue has been going on since a long time already, and present on both Windows and Linux Ubuntu.

Works for me. see screenshot Windows home or pro? Are you running any security software besides MS Defender If Windows Pro version, try testing in Windows Sandbox (VM) to see if you have the same issue. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/ You can also try Refreshing Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Also test with Windows in Safe Mode with Networking.
