How do I export all my emails from Thunderbird to my local HDD?

I know there are a few different methods but which is the best option?

I have 22GB of Emails on my Yahoo Mail and I want to download the to my local HDD.

When I have a complete backup of the entire thing I plan to delete them from my Yahoo Mail to clean up some space.

I use an add-on called ImportExportTools NG

I did manage to select all the emails, and use "save as" from the menu before I installed that.

Should add that you can choose to save as eml, html or text via the dialog box

Yes, but I want to backup everything. Don't know if this is the best way.
