Update lost most of my data
I just updated Thunderbird and any email earlier than 2/22/25 is gone. My sent items folder is empty and my address book is empty. Any email containing a link. The link will not work.
I hope there is a way to recover my missing data.

Did some folders disappeared in that left pane? Or is it that just that saved emails as described did not where there after that mentioned update? Are you using IMAP or POP protocols? What anti virus do you use at the moment , can i ask?

Emails that are containing certain links to addresses that do not work at the moment while clicking on them within inbox mails I suppose that the browser settings aren’t oké to use or not updated ?at the moment?you can try to verify the selected browser for that pc system. Go to your system settings of that pc and look if for them if they are oké? Other look alike issues are there if you re latest Thunderbird version cannot open http or https and other links that where send into that inbox. That Thunderbird version might not know how to open that link again somehow to read it properly with that Thunderbird program. Turn on the pc system and go to Thunderbird. Go to preference / content / file types. Try to search for http or http s . You can configure it there by : Deleting the entry that is recent. And there also you select and choose to select for more browsers to work with. Be Sure that the Thunderbird version is downloaded from trusted download points.
