I keep getting email from accounts@firefox.com saying my account is going to be closed since I haven't used it in two years. I use it constantly! I have it downloaded to my Dell laptop, and I use it all the time. Is this a scam?

Hi Valerie,

I understand that receiving repeated notifications about the same thing can be frustrating. From what I can tell from the screenshot, the message appears to be a legit notification from the Mozilla account team. You can read the following article to learn more about this -> Mozilla account deletion due to inactivity.

Also, just to clarify, using Thunderbird is not the same as using a Mozilla account. That said, if you signed up for this platform using the same email address, your can rest assured, because your account should be safe.

If you did indeed log into your Mozilla Account all the time then you should not be getting three emails informing you to log into your Mozilla Account before a date.

What the Mozilla Accounts are used for https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-account#w_what-services-can-i-use-with-a-mozilla-account (formerly called Firefox Account till Nov 2023)

Btw you have logged into your Mozilla Account to post this thread on support.mozilla.org so that counts.
