How to delete any junk mail based on sender name?
I'm getting junk mail that uses my wife name as the sender. My wife died a year ago and I do not like seeing her name being used this way. Basically, the email (fake billing) has: her name as the sender my email address real sender address (junk/spam name from gmail).
I need to have any email as she being the sender to automatically go to junk and trash.
Please, tell me how I can do this. I'm getting up there in years, so any help and a "how-to do it", I would really appreciate it very much.
I was not able to "see" any way within Thunderbird on how I can do it. BTW- the version of Thunderbird is: 128.9.1esr (64-bit) and my OS is Ubuntu 24.10
Thank you for your time.

I wrote a support document, what 10 or 15 years ago because I was tired of repeating myself. Now all we have to do is get folks to actually read that information.
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/blocking-sender then perhaps read about how Thunderbird manages and identifies junk. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages
You will notice that the latter article in the first paragraph tells you what to do.
That part I knew. My problem is in the name part. In the image I sent shows a name (Any Name Here), then the email address.
What I need is to delete the email based on "Any Name Here". Because every address is different user name.
They are putting my wife's name where they can put any name.
Is this possible to delete this type of junk/spam email?
Matt, thanks for helping.
I would suspect the name is coming from your address book.
To get the filtering right, you need to look at the "From:" line in the source of the email (ctrl+U).
