I received a new modem from my internet provider Start.ca. Since then my emails have stopped coming in. All the lights on the modem are solid green except the LINK light which is flashing rapidly green. I have 2 questions. #1 how might i resolve this. #2 I know there are emails trapped in the queue at this point. Is there a way I can get access to those emails now within Thunderbird? I was told I could by logging in to my email portal but I do not know how to do that. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You are reporting multiple issues somewhat inconsistently, so it's hard to diagnose the problem.

Are you getting any internet access through the new modem?

Have incoming messages stopped completely or not?

Are you able to send messages?

Which password have you lost? The one for your e-mail account? Then, of course, you cannot receive messages, and you will have to re-set your password with your e-mail service provider.

The "web portal" is start.ca. You can access your e-mail account in a browser window there. If you know your password.

You may need to check your account settings with start.ca.
