Adding Perplexity.ai as default search engine
Hello, I would like to add the Perplexity.ai search engine as my default search. Is there a way to do that? I don't see it listed on the search engine pull-down menu. Thanks.

They do accept searches via the address bar -- for example,
https://www.perplexity.ai/search?s=o&q=tabs+in+sidebar+in+Firefox?
-- but I don't see an official way to add it because there is a glitch with their OpenSearch.xml file
https://www.perplexity.ai/opensearch.xml (Ctrl+U to view source)
So... what is the best workaround? Some options:
(1) Install an add-on that adds the search engine definition to Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/perplexity-omnibox/
(2) Use a keyboard keyword bookmark (I don't see the advantage in this case; How to search IMDB, Wikipedia and more from the address bar)
(3) Enable the manual search engine URL feature (I don't see the advantage in this case; it involves the undocumented "browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh" preference)
