I cannot install Firefox at all. If I try I get the message above, and I have tried everything but I couldn't fix it.

Are you trying to install Firefox with the small online stub installer or with the full offline setup?

Try the full offline setup for Windows from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

I tried to install it with the online installer. So I decided to try and use the offline installer and it works.
