Keep getting a problem with Gmail, since it went to the new security login OAuth2, it works for a little while with all the permissions granted etc, then I come back a little while later, I get gmail popups (see images) asking to give permission for TBird to access gmail mail/contacts/calendar etc. I was getting a bit fed up with it so removed the gmail account on TBird - BUT I still get the popups even though I deleted the account... It's driving me nuts (win11, desktop etc). I haven't got a lot of hair left, so any help would be gratefully received!

Do you still sync with Google Contacts or Calendar, or still have the Provider for Google add-on?

Thanks for your reply, no all google email, contacts, calendar have been removed, I did have the provider but it was disabled and have now removed it, but on restart the pop ups keep coming back. I think there must be a corrupted file somewhere that is causing the problem, I have used TBird for a VERY long time! I might have to do a clean re-install if I can't get it working, I have the same setup on a laptop and that works without a problem.

Reinstalling the program probably won't help, as most issues are due to flaws in the (separate) profile folder. Try creating a new profile from Help/Troubleshooting Info, about:profiles, add an account, and if it works properly, data can be transferred from the old profile to the new. IMAP accounts in the new profile will sync with the mail server on first connection.

I removed ALL my contacts from TBird, as some had been imported from google some time ago, the pop ups then stopped. So I will now try and reinstate gmail and see what happens, if it goes bad again I will have to do as you say & start a new profile. Thanks for your help in this, much appreciated!
