I recently switched from Kaspersky to BitDefender. My passwords stopped working then. I managed to get back into Thunderbird but now the messages download (at least I think they do) but nothing shows in the reader window. Can anyone explain how this has happened? I am confounded. My email is from Gmail and has worked flawlessly for years, but not anymore!

what happens if you remove this new antivirus and let windows use it's defender product? It is all I use these days and have a much easier time with false positives and blocked mail connections.
