2nd GMAIL not adding properly!

I have entered several of my emails into thunderbird and all went without a hitch. When I tried to add a second gmail email that I use it says either wrong username or password and won't add it properly. This is NOT true. I changed the password just in case (THREE TIMES!!!) and it isn't loading the account. I have the auth02 or whatever that is "on" and javascript and all the rest... wondering if you know what I need to do to make this account add. Can I do it manually? I get a lot of work stuff through that email.

My approach has always been this: - click file>new>existing email account - enter the appropriate gmail account info but NOT the password. it's not needed. - click 'done' and google should prompt for your gmail password and then show a screen with 'allow' button
