How to update default dictionaries.

I have spent hundreds of hours over the years trying to figure out how to hell to suggest words to the default firefox dictionaries. I don't mean weird words, words used constantly in scientific settings. It is infuriating. I am willing to take on this task if no one else is. How do I join the effort?!? I have 20 years experience at a fortune 500 company. Google is worthless these days.

You can use "Add to Dictionary" to add a word to the persdict.dat file in the Firefox profile folder, but those words aren't shown as suggestions.
