google.com no longer signs me into google

Opening browser with google.com as part of my home page 'group' or open a new tab no longer signs me into google. It use to. I have already cleared my cookies and cache (pain having to log back into my usual sites). It worked for a day, but zip now. Getting ready to leave my favorite browser since the SeaMonkey days!!

Please advise. Thanks!!
