This plugin crashes on Firefox only after last update. It was fine prior to the 10.16.23 update. Ive tried turning off and back on, clearing cache and cookies and nothing helps. Is anyone else having this issue?

The latest Widevine plugin version should be 4.10.2710.0 on Firefox 118.0.2.

Try reinstalling Firefox.

@Dropa: Support for the Widevine plugin comes standard with Firefox and is needed to play DRM protected media content, if is downloaded automatically when required.

@Lauren Daniels You can try to create a new Boolean pref named media.gmp.plugin.crash and set its value to true to see if that brings up the crash reporter.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. On the warning page, you can click "Accept the Risk and Continue" to open about:config.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
