Can't load Firefox, pop up: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window."

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

Have removed Firefox from computer, plus from Program file, but even starting from fresh still get the pop up message above.
