open history in the background and do not move screen to the top
Are the following operations possible?
1. open new tabs in the background from history windows without switching window.
2. clicked a history in the history window, do not move the screen to the top.
It is inconvenient that the screen changes and the display position changes after selecting the history.

Note that easiest/best is to use the history sidebar (Ctrl+H) to open multiple links as there is no pref setting like there is browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu for the bookmarks.
1. You should be able to open an history item in the background via Ctrl + left-click or a middle-click. You may have to hold the Shift key in addition.
2. Firefox always shows the most recent visit and if you click a history item then you create new history what causes to jump to the top. To prevent creating new history and stay at a history entry, you can open a New Private Window and open the sidebar in this window.
I wanted to use the history window to see the URLs to choose from when there are a lot of similar page names, but that seems difficult in the history window.
I'll operate in the sidebar.

It's not ideal, but opening two or more websites from the history library can prevent window switching.
ctrl+left click at least two websites, then right click on one of them and select "Open All in Tabs" from the context menu.
Yes, not useful if you just wish to open one website without the windows swapping. But it's the only way I personally know of.
