Downloading PDFs in Firefox

I am opening another ticket about this because I find this really sad and this is the only reason I have not switched to Firefox on my iPad. Or rather it's the only reason I wasn't able to switch. It's the following:

For university I have to download a lot of pdfs from our education plattform (Moodle). In order to do that I open the PDFs in my browser after signing in on the plattform and stuff and then I can share them with goodnotes (doesn't necessarily have to be goodnotes). At least that's how I do it in safari.

However in Firefox the browser doesn't seem to recognize that I am currently looking at a pdf and instead wants me to share the link of the page itself. If I click share with goodnotes it only copies the main login page of moodle since it probably has no access/permission to make a screenshot of the current page instead of just downloading the pdf. Neither is there an option to directly download the pdf or anything so there really is no way for me to get the pdf from the browser onto my iPad in the firefox browser.

That's the core feature I use my browser for so I won't be able to switch to firefox on my iPad if that is not fixed.
