after upgrading to 108 all my tabs disappeared... tab bar was done, with no way to get to the tabs. I can't believe such a critical issue wasn't caught and again, a huge pain to downgrade with forcing users to create a new profile. I found an article online to update something in about:config to get tabs back, but hoping for a legitimate patch to be released.

Can you attach a screenshot?

This is possibly a problem with the userChrome.css file in the chrome folder Firefox profile folder in case you use this file to style the user interface. You can check whether there is an update available from its creator if you still remember where you got the file. More info about userChrome.css/userContent.css in case you are not familiar: *https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html

If I set toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to false I can get the tabs back, based on website that talked about this issue.

In the past I had a modified userchrome file that I downloaded when firefox removed the ability for extensions to modify the UI... but then after future releases of firefox, those userchrome modifications stopped working effectively too, so I stopped using those. I thought at one point I installed fresh with a new profile, but not positive.

So, you still have a userChrome.css that is broken in 108. You will have to remove this file and possibly see if you can get an update if you want to keep using it. Otherwise you can keep toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets = false to disable Firefox from using it.
