Recover firefox password
I am sure you get this question a lot, but maybe my story is a bit unique. A few weeks ago all my computer equipment, phones etc. were seized in an FBI raid about photos of Area 51 that I posted online. I have not been charged, but I lost ALL my data. Being able to recover my old Firefox login would be a huge help because many passwords I desperately need are stored in that account. I have access to the email address that was used for the user name of my account, but I don't remember the password. I have already tried close to 50, but no joy. Is there ANY way to recover the password? I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for assistance. Thanks!

If they took the computer anything that was on there is on there there no way to recover your data on there as to the password that isn't tied to your computer but your firefox account online only and that will send the reset to the registered "Primary" login email to verify the account and to reset the password. Also this site is user end help those no paid or on-demand support ticket here. If you sync all the data will be deleted on any new device connecting to your firefox account. If you forgot your firefox account login password there nothing more that can be done if password reset to the registered email is forgotten and you can't login to that email.

Got it, thanks! If I recover the password, will it wipe out my saved passwords, bookmarks etc. in Firefox? That's what it says in the recovery page and I'm hoping to keep or rather regain my saved passwords in Firefox. I lost all my passwords in the raid.
If that isn't on the original computer there's no bullet proof way to get those data back unless you get the computer that had those information on back. Sync only sync info between computer and device - change password and all other are lost. I do recall they said there was another way but that is no guarantee to get all of the sync data on different device.

Firefox Sync syncs with a sync server and not device to device (as Dropa keeps claiming), which is why you can do sync when the other device may be off or not connected online. That said if the authorities have control of your systems then they may have already made some changes. However depending on their priority it may just sit for a while.
