Login for hotmail / outlook no longer work after the last 2 updates (since ~11/13/22). Initial screen and username entry screen looks normal, but after pressing enter for username, resulting password screen has no graphics, has rudimentary PW field and labels bunched up at far left, and hitting enter does nothing. All system and firefox updates current, windows 10 22h2, os build 19045.2251, firefox 107.0.

I'm in Hotmail all day everyday with no issues. Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? Did you clear the browser cache? You can also try the option Forget About This Site, but make sure you know the login info.

safemode isn't useful for me, but that's interesting, thanks

Issue NOT happening in Safe Mode sounds like an add-on issue. To double check, just log into another user account and see if you have the same issue. This is why screenshots are helpful.  ;-)

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.
