What happened to my folders with the new update? I need help recovering/finding them. I need clear instructions. There should be an "opt in" option when there is an update, especially when it is such a dramatic change. This is such a waste of time.

All the folders I created from my inbox have disappeared. They are work related and I need access to them. Unified folders? I don't know what that means. There is a new "popstate-1.dat" folder that appears to be empty. The folder was not there prior to the update and I don't know what it is supposed to be.

Such problems are usually caused by antivirus software that interferes with updates. Please provide more information and someone here may have suggestions.

Hi David, I use Windows Security. Do I need to turn it off temporarily to have my folders restored? If so, how do I disable it temporarily? Thank you for your assistance.

That's the security I used. It's never been a problem in my experience. Can you give more info on what is lost? For example, some report losing unified folders, which is usually an easy fix. Losing other stuff, not so easy.
