What happens when you do? Is there an error message?

Mozilla's Firefox on XP and Vista PCs tell you after looking up mozilla.org, it can't find the server at mozilla.org, yahoo.com, facebook.com, twitter.com or any [.gov] These are ABSOLUTE LIES. Especially when there is no problem finding the servers on Windows 7-10. Ending support does not require ending access and then LYING ABOUT IT. If you want people to buy new computers and software just say so. Any other approach makes you a LIAR, a HYPOCRITE, a LOW LIFE, a SCAMMER and a DECEIVER. Telling people the truth about your real motives - i.e., forcing them to buy another computer, hard drive for an existing computer, upgrading to another Windows, Apple or Linux operating system that must be purchased, would probably bring to many class action lawsuits. This is a major reason why LIES are preferred and the biggest LIE, can't find the server at mozilla.org is IMBECILIC and MORONIC.

The last version of Firefox that supported the old EOL Windows XP and Vista was the old EOL Firefox 52.9.0 ESR released June 26, 2018 and was based on Firefox 52.0 released March 7, 2017

Mozilla actually supported WinXP/Vista the longest compared to other web browsers like Chromium, Chrome, Opera which dropped WinXP/Vista support back in April 2016, over two years earlier.

The vast majority of Linux distros are free to download and use and can work quite well on existing hardware with little if any hardware updates. I have 64-bit openSUSE (with Xfce) dual booted with 32-bit Vista on a old 2008 system with a E4400 and 4GB Ram and Linux actually runs much better compared to Vista. Though I just use it as a media player system of sorts.

Just because you are having connection issues on the old vulnerable EOL Windows XP/Vista OS's does not mean Mozilla is lying. You also will have increasing issues with https:// sites due to such old versions of Firefox.

Are you using a proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

• Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
