I'm a realtor and I use firefox as my browser bc I have all apple products and an esign portal that I use doesn't work with explorer. Two days ago firefox stopped allowing me to open my MLS browser Navicamls.net. I can open it on internet explorer or any other computer that is not a mac, but I can no longer open it using firefox.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. I've personally just tried to visit the link you've provided and the page has loaded correctly within my own Firefox browser.

Im unsure as to why you're having issues, if you're using a VPN it maybe worth trying to visit the site through a different server of your VPN.

I don't know if Navicamls.net has implemented the following practices, but alot of sites these days are detecting connections through VPN's and blocking them. maybe its their way to try and re-inforce geo-blocking... or potentially a side effeect of DDos protections being over zealous with connections from the VPN exit server.

If you use a VPN a way to test it would be to try connecting with the VPN enabled and with the VPN disabled. If you get through with it disabled then it will be an issue with the site itself blocking the VPN servers connection, so changing exit server/location on your VPN will potentially help.

Is this a problem with accessing the navicamls.net website or with logging in ?

For the latter you can try some basic steps:

You can check for issues with Total Cookie Protection.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection

You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:

You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> [X] Cached Web Content -> Clear

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Can you show us what you get when trying to open the site. Let me go try on my mac. When you say open, do you mean getting to the site or logging in?
