Accepting calendar invitation changes sender to my email address

Last week, I had to update my work calendar CalDav information in Thunderbird. Shortly afterwards, I realised that when I accept a calendar invitation, I instantly get an email notification that the event has been updated by ME and I am now the owner. I've tested this from several email accounts and it's a serious problem.

I am also subscribed to my Gmail account, so tried a few things including disabling Provider and unsubscribing, uninstalling, reinstalling each calendar individually. None of this seems to work.

Does anyone know why this would suddenly have started happening shortly after the update? I'm using 91.12.0 on Windows 10 and am pretty desperate now.
