Firefox for Mac rapidly depletes battery on MacBook Air 2017 (MacOS 12.4)

I would like to use Firefox as my primary browser for work, but Firefox very quickly drains my battery on my work laptop. Every other browser I've used (Opera, Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave, etc. have a similar amount of battery drain and are much more efficient than Firefox, I can have them open all day and I don't run into rapid drain) I've tried it on multiple different versions of MacOS, but the results are the same every time. Does anyone have any theories? This is without any extensions and with default settings.
