Pinch-zoom Redux

This is a problem I posted about 6 months ago but has since been archived. I used to be able to use the touchpad to zoom in/out using the pinch process. For at least 6 months It has been necessary to press CTRL before zooming. The response was that it was likely my touchpad software.

I recently purchased two new ASUS laptops, one for me and one for my wife. They are both VivoBooks but different models. Hers is running Windows 10 Home while mine is Windows 11 Home. We are both running the current version of Thunderbird. Pinch-zoom works on hers, but not on mine. When I installed Thunderbird on hers I did it from scratch because she had no emails that she wanted saved. Because I have a (rude word) ton of archived email I copied my entire profile over from the old laptop.

This leads me to believe that the pinch-zoom problem lies somewhere within my profile settings. Given that information, do you have any suggestions as to what setting might be responsible?
