downloaded Applications what to do with
I was having problems with my email and was looking more closely at those settings as well as firefox/ deleted cache, cookies , etc. 5 months ago my email was hacked so I am being extra cautious....
I just discovered there are many items listed that say to save the application. I do not recall adding these.... How did they get there? I recall whatever was listed I chose that I be asked what to do with it. Here is a screenprint so you can see what the items are. I use Linux. The only change I made after seeing this is to ask me about anything not listed. The answer had been to save. Should I change them all to ask me? Most of the items I do not use and or know what they are. Thanks ! [email-removed]

That is a section which enables you to choose what should be done with any specified file. Click the down arrow alongside each to show other options.
Terry,
I realize how to change the status. My question was how did all the items get put there since I did not add them? I also want to edit my question to remove my email. Or even delete my question... How do I do that?
Is this question viewable now to anyone searching this topic?
If I cannot edit it, can an administrator or staff member remove my email from my question ? Thanks. libre2012
I've removed the email address.
You can find "Edit this question" under the "Question Tools" menu in the sidebar. For a reply, Edit is in the three dot menu next to a reply.

Thanks for removing email. How did the items end up in that list since I did not add them? Thanks. libre2012
Linux mint 20.2 Uma
The browser typically has added items to the list. With recent versions many have lost items from the list. The items are contained in a file handlers.json.
