Cannot drag emails to folders after update
After theThunderbird update yesterday (24 May) I can no longer drag emails to sort them in to folders. I've spent all morning trying to fix it. Things I've tried from advice in other support threads:
- Creating a new profile
- Operating in trouble shoot mode
- Rolling back to a previous version - could only do this with a beta version. Problem persisted.
- Uninstalling, deleting all data and reinstalling (creating new profiles from scratch and waiting until all server messages are fully loaded)
- Rebooting
- Clearing computer cache
Note I have no add ons at all, I'm on Windows PC that is up to date and have now turned off auto updates in thunderbird. It is still possible to sort them by right clicking the message, but this isn't workable as I have to go through 4 submenus to sort each one.
Any help would be really appreciated as I'm afraid I've exhausted all published advice. I may have to ditch it tomorrow which would be a shame as I've used Thunderbird for a decade with no issues. I use this function multiple times daily to keep my email tidy as I use my inbox as a to-do list. I was able to do it yesterday and I can see from the update list that the last update was last night so conclude it must be that causing it as the last windows update was a few days ago.
