if you right click the account in the folder pane and select subscribe, can you unsubscribe from the folders?

thanks for the reply. i'm using the latest version of thunderbird on a Mac. i can 'right click' [using 2 fingers on a track pad] to pull up a general info window on any of the unwanted folders, which shows me folder location [imap:// etc etc], but does not give me the option to delete the location. And as we speak, the application has frozen after i attempted this. When i use the 'delete folder' or 'rename folder' options, i just get an 'action not completed' alert [sound effect and words to that effect]. I can change the color of the folder, that's it. Presumably this problem arose in one of the more recent thunderbird releases for this platform [its been a couple of months].
