Attempting to download Firefox on MacBook Pro Monterey 12.2 through Safari. When I hit Download, a progress bar flashes briefly, then disappears. When I open Show Downloads in Safari, I get what you see in the first attachment. When searching for the file, I get a second message stating file has not been created (second attachment). Interestingly, I'm having exactly the same problem with Libre Office. I've checked all the settings I know in OS System Preferences and in Safari.

As you have the same issue with two apps from different creators, your problem seems to be an OS or Safari issue. Do you have other software you can use to download the packages you want?
