New print dialog crashes on every print to network printers

Our office runs 25 workstations with Firefox on Ubuntu 20.04. 19 of these have access to several network printers through a CUPS server that shares the printers (the workstations have the ServerName defined in /etc/cups/client.conf). Every time we print to a network printer using the new print dialog Firefox crashes. Now that print.tab modal can't be disabled it is even more annoying. I have noticed every printer defaults to color mode, even if it doesn't support color. Switching to black and white on non-color printers does not help. This morning I did "Clear saved print settings" in "More troubleshooting information", but that didn't help. Incidentally, the 6 using locally installed printers and all of our Windows and Mac workstations (which also have locally installed printers) have no problem printing.
