PDF View instead of PDF Download
I use KOFAX PDF software as my default viewer and up until recently, when I viewed a PDF using FIREFOX and according to my personal settings, it would open using KOFAX and I could view and then download if i desired. As of recent, without me changing any of my settings, FIREFOX opens the PDF but will download the file every time. I want to be able to view and then download if I so wish, not, view and auto download. I have tried every combination under Settings / Applications. This is a big issue for me as I view multiple PDF's and have to empty my download folder. This was a major factor in me choosing and recommending FIREFOX to friends, family & business associates. As I stated before, this was never an issue until recently.

Firefox download behavior has changed. When you choose to open a file with an application, Firefox now saves the file to your Downloads folder. In previous versions, when you opened the file in an application, the file was still saved to the Windows Temp folder, even though you didn't realize it. For more information, see How file downloads are handled in Firefox version 98 and above.
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues. You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.
