I would like to try thunderbird; the alternative to outlook, but my computer keeps saying that this app is risky for my computer. I would like to know what is a good alternative to outlook.

Thunderbird is not risky; it's been around for over a decade and used by thousands and thousands of people from all around the globe. You couldn't find a safer email client.
It's a bad anti-competitive practice of Microsoft. Force installing Thunderbird anyway.
What is the antivirus app on your computer that warns about TB? As long as you download the installer from the official site, there shouldn't be any issues, except for some non-Microsoft security app showing false positives.
