videos not showing on a site?

Hello,

Recently an adult site I go to, which features videos, isn't working: I can get to site, but nothing shows up on the screen. I've always had 'strict' privacy and adblocking protections, but something seems to have changed. This started happening maybe three weeks ago?

I did follow Mozilla instructions, and clicked on the 'shield' next to the address, changed 'enhance tracking' to off for this site. But that didn't solve the problem. What would be the next thing to try?

Is it just the one website, or are there others? Does the page load properly other than the video?

Are there any error messages?


Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?


Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

Isn't happening on any other website.

The page loads properly, but with nothing there.

No error messages.

I am using blockers, but I don't think I added anything new? I will try the links your provide, though I'm only a simply man, not a super computer savvy guy.

Ah ha! It was the Extension Ghostery!

I went through one by one and turned each one off, and this is the one. Weird, since I've had Ghostery for a while? Did they upgrade or something? Or...change?
