Is it just saving the file, or saving and then displaying it?
When the browser 'views' a file, it is first downloaded to temporary storage, then displayed. The computer will remove temporary files after a time.
If the computer 'saves' a file, it is stored wherever the user wants.
Sadly, just saving the file without displaying it. I am not tech savvy, did not change settings and have no idea how this suddenly started happening. If you have a solution I would love to try. I followed the steps after searching online to no avail. Super appreciative.
Right-click on the link and select Save As or Open. What happens?
I can open file in a new window- but same thing occurs when I select that option. I don't know how I now have an additional step just to open links.. so frustrating. Thanks for helping.
Hi Leonandgray,
Did you look at your settings under the "General" section? You have choices for files in "Files and Applications".
