duplicate toolbar folders
Is there a simple way to get rid of duplicate toolbar folders? The two add-on that you have in the list don't work anymore. Can you put a "remove duplicate folders" in toolbar commands? Thanks for your help and interest.

Are you talking about the toolbar for the add-on icons or the Bookmarks Toolbar?
Bookmark toolbar
Did you ever import an HTML backup as that can cause extra Bookmarks Toolbar folders to appear?
Only the real Bookmarks Toolbar folder has a special icon and its content appears on the Bookmarks Toolbar, other Bookmarks Toolbar folders have the basic folder icon and appear normally at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder. You can move these bookmarks in this folder to the real Bookmarks Toolbar folder and remove empty secondary Bookmarks Toolbar folders.
Did not import an HTML backup. You are right about Bookmarks Toolbar having a star as the icon and the other having a basic folder icon. However they don't want to cooperate and move from the Folder icon folder to the Star icon Bookmark Toolbar. By trying this I ended with a second Duplicate Folder? Can Mozilla come up with a simple command such as "Remove Duplicate Folder when I right click the bookmark toolbar???? Thanks for your help.
If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Type https://accounts.firefox.com/settings<enter> in the address bar. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.
[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.
If any errors are reported: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional
The places.sqlite file contains your History and Bookmarks. And it looks like it is corrupted.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox. The browser should then create a new place.sqlite and recover your bookmarks from the backup files.
Note: Your history is not backed up and will be lost.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
