Email not refreshing, repeatedly asking for new password

Thunderbird will not display new messages and is repeatedly requesting the password. When I type in my password it says it failed to login to the server. I have not changed my password. I am able to view all of my previous messages and folders.

It did briefly load new messages a few days ago, but has been stuck again.
