Lost inbox folders when I re-added my account (AOL requirement)

I received a message from AOL telling me I needed to change authentications. The instructions said to remove and re-add my account in Thunderbird. But when I did that, I lost all my rules, and saved messages. HELP! I need those back! Are they stored somewhere on my computer so I can just re-install them somehow???
