Lost profile after update

Hi I accepted the popup notice that a newer version of Firefox was available - while doing other things. When I next opened Firefox, all my profile was gone. No folders, no bookmarks, no extensions, it appears like a virgin install. How do I get my profile back??? Firefox 94.0.2 Windows 10 Home Desktop PC

Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Thanks FredMcD The about:profiles tip was the answer. There were only two profiles shown, one being the update profile, the other being mine. Firefox loaded mine without complaint and the buttons on the profiles page made fixing the problem simple (press 'Set as default profile', close Firefox and restart). Cheers, Tom
